What are we doing?

We will be continuing to do shows on mercy and justice.  This fall we will focus on 3 topics (the poor, child soldiers of war, women and children in the sex trade) The show will  be told through modern dance choreography and other artistic forms.  We are looking at taking the show to Belize this year to serve the poor, as well as traveling in Canada and the US with it.

Who are we looking for?

Though we appreciate all levels of dance skill and the heart and passion that people can bring in their dance, we are looking for dancers with enough training and strength to be able to execute the choreography.  Specific modern training is not required but ballet training is.

 Time frame

Training will start in September with a solid week of choreography where dancers will learn the pieces.  After the week, dancers will return home to work on the movement on their own.  Dancers will return for a time of "cleaning" at which point the show will be ready to travel with.  Dancers will travel from their home cities and meet in the performance city.  Commitment to the show is required from September to December though all dancers will be able to still maintain their lives at home with family, job etc.  There will not be a time away from home that is longer than 2 weeks.

The Message
The message is one of hope, healing, mercy and love. Reaching beyond ourselves into the lives of those who in need. Having concern for the least of these.

The Cast
We are a cast of 5 main dancers, one young actress ( my daughter) and some fill in kids for a swing piece that we do.

About the Company

About the Company:

Collective Production is a production company that produces shows using any combo of the following:  dance, live music, live painting, media and any other art form that can be performed.  The company has been running for a number of years but does not run year round.  Rather the Company only starts up for a season of doing a show.  It is not a dance school, but the members of the Company all dance in other schools or are teachers in other schools.

Heather Clark has been dancing for 15 years as a choreographer and dancer in both the marketplace and in the church.  For many years she pioneered spontaneous dance in worship with her dance team "Dancing in the Gap".

The Fall:

Right now the dance company is touring with its current cast until the end of the summer.  A new cast will come together for the fall to continue to tour and train dancers.   Between now and August we will be auditioning dancers for a part in the fall company.
