Though Bella Dante has been in slow production for 2009, the plan is to move foward in 2010.

website: www.belladante.ca When designer Heather Clark became pregnant with her first child, she realized that her style of dress was not to be found in any maternity stores. Searching endlessly through 4 pregnancies, it was clear that maternity clothes were expensive, not stylish and could be worn for only a short time. Even if there were a few items that would do, the clothes she was looking for were ones that didn’t make her feel frumpy. It was at this time that the idea was conceived to start a maternity clothing line. After having her children and no longer in need of maternity clothes, her love for fashion grew and the clothing line expanded to women’s fashion for the simple reason that she could then wear her own line! Looking around, she saw 4 beautiful little children growing up before her eyes and it became a pleasure to dress them up and have fun with kids fashion. She expanded her ideas to allow her kids to also wear her line.
This was the beginning of Bella Dante!
One day when reading her Bible she found a story of a woman in the book of proverbs who was known for her ability to buy and sell fabrics. In her book titled,“How Do Women Do It All?” Heather takes a look at the lives of women today and all the demands that surround. The proverbs woman says that “strength and honor” are her clothing. It is Heather’s desire with her clothing line that women would feel that they would feel the strength to accomplish all that is needed and they would feel honored as women in their day to day.
THOUGHTS FOR WOMEN
Everywhere I go I see women who seem like they are afraid of how to dress and so they just go for the sweat pants and hoodie as the default. Consider: you’re getting dressed anyway. It doesn’t take any more time or effort to put on a pair of jean or dress pants than it does to put on sweat pants.
Over time transform your wardrobe into pieces that are slightly more fashionable yet still keeping with what is important to you (comfort, easy, speed etc) Get RID of the old pieces so that you actually can’t chose them anymore.
We are so in the habit of putting on the same things that we tend to not think outside our boxes. If you’re not sure what you would like or how to put things together, find someone who dresses the way you would like to and watch how they put things together. Copy that!
